Laura’s Speaking Engagements In NYC And SF!

Laura will be taking part in three exciting speaking engagements over the next four weeks!

The first takes place at Manhattan’s Village Works, 12 St. Marks Place, as part of the NYC Authors Reading Series, on Wednesday April 24 at 7 PM. Laura will be reading an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir. Joining her will be acclaimed actor Winsome Brown and writers Lauren Badillo Milici and Meg Yates – plus special guest reader, writer Alissa Bennett! The event will be hosted by Michael Dolan.

The second will happen at San Francisco’s Booksmith, 1727 Haight Street, on Wednesday May 15 at 7 PM. Laura will be having a lively conversation with author Mona Awad to discuss Awad’s new novel “Rouge” – “deeply unsettling, funny, obsessive … a truly mesmerizing read” – Paul Tremblay

The third occurs two days later, at San Francisco’s Green Apple Books, 1231 Ninth Avenue, on Friday May 17 at 7 PM. Laura will have another exciting talk, this time with author Kate Flannery, to celebrate the paperback release of Flannery’s “Strip Tees” – “A racy, thoughtful memoir of [Flannery’s] tenure during the rise and fall of the controversial company [American Apparel]” – New York Times Book Review
